Objective

The student knows the principles of welding technology and manufacturing methods. The student knows the most common materials used in power plants and energy production and the influence of heat treatment, alloying and coating on their properties. The student will be familiar with the fundamentals of strength of materials and machine parts and their main methods of investigation.

-Force, torque, force couple, equivalent force systems, centre of gravity and force distributions
-Force diagram

Qualifications

The student understands simple natural phenomena and has basic mathematical and scientific skills related to the calculation of natural phenomena.

The student masters the basics of welding technology and the most common manufacturing methods. The student knows the most common materials used in power plants and their properties. The student will know different methods of material testing.

The student masters the basics of welding technology, the most common manufacturing methods and understands their importance in a power plant. The student knows the most common materials used in power plants, their properties and applications. The student knows the most common methods of materials research.
