Structure of the degree (240 ECTS):
- Core Requirement Studies 40 ECTS
- Professional Studies 115 ECTS

- Work Placement 30 ECTS
- Bachelor's Thesis 15 ECTS
The curriculum describes the basic structure of the degree. The learning objectives of the degree are attached to this curriculum. At the beginning of the studies, an individual study plan (ISP) is planned for the student, that takes into account student's prior learning and work experience, student's interests and needs in working life, as well as the yearly offering of online studies. The online course offering includes studies that enable students to complete their previous degree or an incomplete degree into an ICT engineering degree. The content of the studies is based on the working life and partly phenomenon based learning. Some of the studies, if applicable, are connected to Metropolia's innovation hubs and projects there.
Development
Opetussuunnitelma perustuu työelämän osaamistarpeisiin ja insinöörin ammatillisiin vaatimuksiin. Osa ammattiopinnoista perustuu alalla kansainvälisesti tunnettujen sertifioidun koulutuksen varaan. Tällöin saavutetaan parempi kansainvälinen vertailtavuus, tunnettavuus sekä laatutaso.
