Objective

The student is familiar with the basic concepts of business mathematics and masters fundamental calculations and methods. The student is able to apply this knowledge in their professional studies and working life within their field.

Content

Percentage calculations. Simple interest, compound interest, and discounting. Changes in the value of money and index calculations.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to identify the basic mathematical concepts and methods included in the course and can solve simple problems related to them.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students are able to apply the fundamental concepts and methods associated with the course to simple problems related to course contents.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
