Objective

The student can explain the progress of the design process and its different stages, the tasks and responsibilities of the HVAC designer and the work tasks in the different stages of the design process. The student knows how to set up a design project and make the necessary heat loss, air volume and flow rate calculations as starting points for system design. The student knows how to select and dimension appropriate water and sewage, heating and ventilation solutions and equipment based on current regulations and general dimensioning methods, and to justify the choices and dimensioning principles.
