EarthworksLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

After completing the course, the student knows the basics of earth construction: methods, machines and construction phases.Student is able to choose right types of machines for the different phases of earthworks, knows properties of earth materials and how to read infrastructure designs. The student knows principles of sustainable development and circular economy while selecting materials and on the construction site. The student knows what permits are needed for the construction phase and knows how to produce a work plan for the different phases, taking into account work safety in particular.
