Objective

The student is able to
- identify questions and needs for development in their professional field and working life and plan solutions to them in accordance with the principles of sustainable development
- apply their professional knowledge and appropriate methods and working methods in their development work
- independently, responsibly, and collaboratively carry out a development task that benefits working life, their own field, or their professional competence
- communicate clearly, logically, and illustratively at different stages of their work to peers and various audiences, both in writing, verbally, and visually.

Content

- Familiarisation with the thesis process and necessary agreements and permit procedures
- Specification of the thesis topic, planning, and implementation according to the plan
- Source-critical information retrieval in Finnish and English and the utilisation of information in defining the scope and foundation of the work
- Selection of working methods and research or development methodologies
- Achieving results and evaluating their significance
