Objective
Upon completion of the course, the student
• is able to describe the stages of vehicle painting, the methods and equipment used, explain the properties of different paints and their effects on the surface treatment process, and apply the principles of corrosion protection and surface treatment in the automotive industry
• is able to analyse quality control and quality criteria for painting, and to assess the environmental impact of painting and occupational safety.

• Different types of paint and their properties
• Corrosion protection and aesthetic requirements
• Quality control of surface treatments and painting
• Environmental impact and safety in the paint shop
