Objective
Upon completion of the course students will be able to determine the legal basis of the administration of a business and its responsibilities and to develop the organisation according to the best practices of administration, be familiar with the laws and regulations related to management and be able to utilise that knowledge in practical situations. In a managerial capacity, student will be able to consider the enterprise value of a company, its product development, contract obligations, social responsibility as well as obligations pertaining to inside information. Student understands the obligations of an employer in a corporate merger or acquisition and is familiar with an internationally expanding company’s employer interests and obligations and be able to draft agreement terms accordingly.

- Organising the administration of different types of businesses, responsibility issues (corporate law)
- Corporate social responsibility
- Legal protection of trade name, trademark and product development in working life (immaterial rights)
- Competition, marketing, outsourcing (service contracts, works contracts, agency agreements, public acquisitions and contractor’s liability)
- Laws and regulations pertaining to the work of managers
- The responsibility of a manger in equality and well-being in work community
Qualifications
Introduction to Law and Contract Legislation and Labour Legislation/Corporate Law and Labour Law or equivalent competences

The student has achieved the course objectives fairly. The student will be able to identify, define and use the course subject area’s concepts and models. The student understands the criteria and principles of the expertise development.

The student has achieved the course objectives well, even though the knowledge and skills need improvement on some areas. The student is able to define the course concepts and models and are able to justify the analysis. The student is able to apply his/her knowledge in leisure, study and work situations. The student understands the importance of expertise in the field of business and is able to analyze his/her own expertise.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student has achieved the objectives of the course with excellent marks. The student masters commendably the course subject area’s concepts and models. The student is able to make justified and fluent analysis and to present concrete development measures. The student is well prepared to apply his/her knowledge in leisure, study and work situations. The student is able to analyze the business sector expertise and the development of his/her own expertise.
