The student:
- can explain the structure and function of the central and peripheral nervous system and the upper limb nervous system
- understands the importance of the nervous system
- identifies the effects of neurological damage on functioning.
Content
Nerve cell structure and function?
Main features of the development of the nervous system?
Structure and function of the central and peripheral nervous system?
Sense of posture and movement, sense of balance, sense of pain, sense of touch?
Upper limb nerves, the most common upper limb nerve injuries and their symptoms?
Critical stages of neural development in the foetus
