Objective

The student identifies the most common ankle, foot and toe malpositions, problems and biomechanical deviations including the mechanisms by which they arise, and is able to describe their differential diagnoses and rehabilitation. The student is able to apply their understanding of the functional and structural mechanisms of the lower extremities in how problems arise in the lower extremities. The student masters the principles of taping.

The student is able to apply joint mobilisation, therapeutic training and taping to promote the operation of the ankle and foot. The student is able to make personalised training programme to improve and balance the operation of the customer's lower extremities. The student is able to evaluate the effects of rehabilitation in light of the problems studied during the course.

- Malpositions of the ankle, foot and toes
- Differential diagnoses
- Flat foot and foot with high arch
- Exercising mobility, muscle strength, coordination and balance
- Making a personalised training programme
- Taping in podiatry
- Application of taping, mobilisation and therapeutic training in the rehabilitation of various disabilities
