Objective

The student will be able to
- explain the most common types of dementia and their prevalence
- Identify the impact of dementia on individuals, communities and society
- describe the rights and access to care and rehabilitation of people with a diagnosis
- acknowledge the person living with dementia as a unique individual.

- Dementia as a progressive process and experience
- Rights and care pathways of people with a memory disorder diagnosis
- Foundations of person-centred memory work
