Objective

Promotion of Health in Physiotherapy 4 ECTS

The student
• is able to describe health promotion as a socially multidimensional and multidisciplinary phenomenon and as a continuous process that enables people to increase and improve their health management
• understands the link between health promotion, health care and sustainable development and identifies ways to contribute to sustainability through health promotion
• is able to identify the need for guidance in relation to a client's lifestyle change and to guide the client in a way that strengthens the client's capacity and participation
• is able to evaluate the lifestyle counselling they provide in order to improve their own counselling practice
• considers language awareness as part of their professional and counselling work
• is able to describe the role of nutrition as a contributor to client functioning, performance and rehabilitation.

Sustainability in the Urban European Context 1 ECTS

After completing the course the student
• is aware of the planetary ecological boundaries, climate change and biodiversity loss
• understands the three dimensions of sustainable development as a systemic whole and can argue the interdependencies between them
• is aware of the European regulations related to digital and green transitions
• is able to identify the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and how the goals are promoted within U!REKA cities
• is aware of the sustainability focus within U!REKA European University Alliance.
