Content

- Typical raw material and waste cycles
- Leveraging waste heat sources on a larger scale
- Designing resource-efficient communities and factory sites

Prerequisites

No previous knowledge required.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student identifies ways to improve material and energy efficiency in companies. The student knows the steps of mapping a regional material and energy symbiosis and can draw a schematic plan for the system.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student identifies the most common ways to recycle materials, chemicals and energy in a closed system. The student can perform calculations related to the topic of material and energy efficiency.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can solve applied problems related to the recycling of materials and energy. The student can use mathematical methods to solve material and energy efficiency related problems.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student identifies ways to improve material and energy efficiency in companies. The student knows the steps of mapping a regional material and energy symbiosis and can draw a schematic plan for the system.
