Objective
The student masters the basic concepts and fundamental calculations of building physics, acoustics, and electrical physics and is able to apply them in their professional studies and working life within their field.
Content
Temperatures in structures and on surfaces. Humid air. Moisture transfer in structures. Moisture movement in soil. Moisture condensation on surfaces and within structures.
Acoustics: Quantities and units, octave and third-octave bands, addition and subtraction of sound levels, sound propagation in free field, sound disturbance, room acoustics, sound insulation. Vibration and its damping.
Electrical physics: Electric current, voltage, resistance, power, Ohm’s law, electrical energy. Fundamentals of the three-phase system, induction, and magnetism.
