Objective

The student can calculate room overheating and cooling demand. The student can dimension and select cooling production equipment, room cooling devices, and space cooling units. The student can design and dimension chilled water systems.

Content

Cooling demand, room overheating, and cooling load calculation (IDA ICE). Cooling energy production in buildings. District cooling. Centralized indirect cooling. Space cooling units and direct cooling. Precision air conditioning units. Chilled water systems.

Competences of the following studies:

Heat Transfer and Fluid Mechanics 1 and 2
Heat Pumps and Heat Pumps Plants
