Objective

The students are able to perform the basic HVAC installations and to calculate the need for materials for the installation. The student recognizes the most common piping and insulation materials.

Content

Installation methods for piping and ventilation systems. Materials, supplies and jointing methods. Support and compensation. Equipment connections. Implementation of piping and ventilation systems in connection to other building services systems. Calculations of quantities for HVAC systems. Piping materials and insulations.

The student can apply the skills and knowledge listed above with guidance.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student can independently apply the skills and knowledge listed above.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the requirements listed above, the student can give grounds for the solutions he or she has chosen and develop these solutions.
