The student has received an overall picture of decentralized energy production methods and potential use cases.
The student knows the basics of distributed energy technologies
Students are familiar with the different solutions, operations, limitations, components, dimensioning and control principles of distributed energy production.
The student is able to design and size at the basic level decentralized energy production entities and solutions.

Content

The overall picture of decentralized energy production methods and their potential use cases. Renewable energy sources (biomass, geothermal energy, solar heat recovery, heat pump technologies), hybrid implementations, energy storage methods.
