Objective

Student knows project management standards and knowledge areas, and is able to apply them in construction projects. The student knows special features related to construction projects and can explain, how different project management knowledge areas are related to each other in construction projects.

Content

Following project management knowledge areas and managing construction projects with help of them:
- integration management
- scope management
- time management
- cost management
- quality management
- human resource management
- communication management
- risk management
- procuerement management

The course includes basic content of all areas and their connection and influence to each other. Course includes current topics and assignments related to construction project management.

Basics of Construction Economics, Cost Management, Construction Contracts and Procurement, Construction Site Management

The student is able to describe project management knowledge areas related to construction. The student knows, how these areas are related to each other.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to apply project management knowledge areas and their influence to each other in a construction project.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to apply project management knowledge areas and their influence to each other very well in different construction project situations.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student is able to describe project management knowledge areas related to construction. The student knows, how these areas are related to each other.
