Objective
On completion of the course the student
- can describe the contents of working plans for an apartment building and the principles of using the plans
- can describe the proceedings in managing a site
- can produce an input based general schedule of an apartment building project
- can produce an input based weekly schedule of an apartment building project
- can produce a finishing schedule of an apartment building project
- can produce a quality plan for a project.
- knows the different types of contract and implementation of building projects
- can choose a suitable contract type for an ordinary building project
- is familiar with different contract documents and legislation related to contracting

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student is able to create schedules using a place-time chart and a line schedule. The student knows the components of quality and the methods of quality management. The student is familiar with the parties and types of contracts of simple projects, as well as the related contract agreements. The student knows the principles of cost management in different phases of a project and is able to apply them in simple calculations.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student is able to create schedules using a place-time chart and a line schedule, applying the principles of site management. The student is able to apply the components of quality in quality control. The student can apply his/her knowledge of contracts to draw up an ordinary piecework contract and to solve simple contract problems on the basis of a contract and the terms listed in it. The student knows the principles of cost management well and is able to apply them in ordinary cost calculations.s.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student is able to create schedules using a place-time chart and a line schedule, applying the principles of site management proficiently. The student is able to apply the components of quality and to draw up a quality plan for a small project. The student is able to apply his/her knowledge of contracts proficiently, to choose a suitable contract type for a project and to create related documents. The student is able to solve problems on the basis of a contract and the terms of a contract. The student masters the principles of cost management and is able to apply his/her knowledge proficiently in various cost calculations.
