Objective
On completion of the course the student will have an overall understanding of the water and sewage systems in buildings and their connections with other building service systems. The student understands how the system is connected to the communal water supply and sewage network.
The student can describe the principles of water supply and sewage solutions for areas of dispersed development.
The student can apply the relevant rules and regulations.
The student can select and position functional water and sewage fittings, equipment and pipes to a building. The student can select an economical and functional hot water supply system. The student is familiar with sand, oil, gasoline and grease separators. The student can select a suitable sewage treatment system for a property in a sparsely populated area. The student is familiar with the drainage systems for building foundations and plots.
