Objective
The student
• learns about new music technology applications and other computer software and peripherals used in creating music and sound
• understands various areas of technology and their connections to music-making
• is able to seek information on utilising new technology and apply it to music creation
• can describe the importance of keeping up with technological developments and applying new technologies in their work, as well as continuously updating their skills and expression
• works in a goal-oriented manner according to given assignments and schedules.

Qualifications
The student
• knows the fundamentals of sound synthesis and can describe operating principles of synthesizers
• can design and produce specific sounds and effects in a digital audio workstation environment
• can describe the basic principles of sampling, use various samplers, and create their own sample instruments
• can use sound synthesis and sampling creatively in their own music-making
• can use signal processors in mixing and editing
• can listen critically and analytically.
