Music Writing 2Laajuus (3 cr)

Objective

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to arrange, compose, orchestrate or similar in accordance with the objectives of the course.

Content

• Seminar work and exercises, both individually and in groups
• Focus on a specific area of music making which may vary from semester to semester: arranging for a small ensemble or a larger ensemble, orchestration, composition, participation in a 'song camp' or similar event, among others
• Information on working life and copyrights

The content of the course will support Music Making 1.

Qualifications

Degree according to the extended syllabus level of basic education in music in Finland or equivalent skills and knowledge.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student receives a pass mark, when they are able to act in accordance with the learning objectives of the course.
