Objective

the student
• is able to identify how creativity and art can support well-being, inclusion and lifelong learning at the societal level
• is able to distinguish between factors promoting equality, justice, equity, well-being and inclusion in the working and learning environment
• understands the importance of social sustainability and applies their knowledge when working with communities and individuals
• is able to explain by example, based on pedagogical thinking and research, the potential of art to understand the world and human activity and to justify its importance
• understands the importance of inclusivity and uses their knowledge and experience of working with diverse people to develop their pedagogical thinking and sustainability skills as music educators
• is able to identify factors influencing global sustainability and to design and implement creative activities that promote sustainability and sustainability thinking
• is able to identify ethical thinking and values that influence their own pedagogical thinking and practice
• is able to interact flexibly and appropriately with the group process in different phases of the project and to give and receive multifaceted feedback.

The student

• can broadly describe the elements of creativity, expression and artistic invention and their importance in supporting human expression and meaningful experiences.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student
• is able to understand the factors influencing global sustainability
• understands how creativity and the arts can be used in a variety of ways to support well-being, inclusion and lifelong learning at societal level
• is able to give concrete examples from these different contexts
• is able to design creative and artistic activities based on the principles of social sustainability and promoting sustainable development
• is able to distinguish the values and ethical principles that guide their pedagogical thinking and action
• Identifies and is able to explain the key factors affecting equality, justice, equity, well-being and inclusion.
