Objective

The student
• is able to construct high-quality concert programmes, taking into account the specific characteristics of the musical styles and genres of music they perform
• can act as the leader of their ensemble and as a personal interpreter of the music, as well as take responsibility for the production of the entire concert
• demonstrates good project management and interaction skills
• is able to exploit the potential of communication and information technologies in concert marketing.

Content

• Selecting, preparing, rehearsing and leading a concert programme
• Performing the programme in public at a concert

Qualifications

Successful completion of Instrument Studies 1-7 or equivalent knowledge and skills.
Artistic and project management skills sufficient for concert performance.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student
• is able to use the expressive means characteristic of their instrument and typical of the selected repertoire
• is able to work according to agreed schedules
• is able to produce a concert
• is capable of Identifying their strengths and areas for development and working with determination towards their learning objectives
• can present and argue for their own work to the group as well as receive feedback and reflect on their own work
