Objective
The student
• knows how to use a digital audio workstation (DAW) at a basic level and can prepare demo recordings of their own music
• can define the impact of arrangement and orchestration on musical expression
• can work in a goal-oriented manner according to given assignments and schedules
• can actively participate in a group, discuss, and provide constructive feedback on the work of other group members.
Content
• Seminar work and completing exercises individually and in groups
• Key features and basic use of a digital audio workstation (DAW)
• Preparing demo recordings of students’ own music
Qualifications
The student
• is able to write popular music songs with basic harmonies both in a given style and independently
• can utilise music writing methods in their work and creatively consider the impact of lyrics on the overall composition
• can express their musical ideas verbally, in writing, and through recordings.

• can work according to given assignments and schedules
• presents and justifies their own work to the group as agreed, can receive feedback, and reflect on their own work
• is able to document their composed and written music both in writing and through recordings.
