Objective

The student
• is able to use theoretical, practical and experiential knowledge in the planning and implementation of individual, ensemble and group teaching
• can reflect on their experiences of musical practice and use this to develop as a pedagogue
• is acle to deepen their pedagogical thinking independently and develop socially sustainable teaching.

Content

Joint lectures on pedagogical topics.

Qualifications

Degree according to the extended syllabus level of basic education in music in Finland or equivalent skills and knowledge.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student
• is able to distinguish the concepts underlying learner-centred teaching and to identify their implications in the learning situations they encounter
• is able to reflect on their pedagogical competence and development.
