Objective

The student
• can arrange and orchestrate music for various, especially pedagogical, purposes
• can creatively utilise methods of music writing in their work
• is able to write characteristic and stylistically appropriate scores and other musical elements for a given ensemble.

Content

• Creating arrangements for different purposes and ensembles
• Seminar work and assignments individually and in small groups

Qualifications

The student can use essential music applications and music technology tools. The student masters the key expressive means of Western music notation and can apply them in their own music-making. The student can listen to and analyse their own and others' music and texts analytically and apply what they have learned in their own music-making. The student can actively and proactively participate in group work and can discuss and provide constructive feedback on the work of other group members.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student can arrange music for pedagogical purposes and apply different methods of music writing.
