Objective

The student
• can describe the key principles of copyright legislation, understands the practices related to music industry copyrights, and can apply them from the perspective of a creative and performing musician
• is able to specify important contract and reporting practices, for example, those relating to the publishing and distribution of music
• can describe the responsibilities and areas of activity of important copyright, advocacy, and professional organisations
• can differentiate between various forms of enterprise and entrepreneurship, and their suitability for their own activities
• knows how to seek information on domestic funding systems for creative industries and describe the principles of a good funding or grant application
• can plan and document the production content and stages of a complete music project.

• Fundamentals and specific issues of copyright from the perspective of a creative and performing musician and a record producer
• Key copyright and professional organisations and their services
• Notifications, licences, and identifiers required for writing and producing music professionally
• Entrepreneurship in creative industries

• Planning and documenting the production part of a music project

• is able to specify the main contract and reporting practices in the music industry
• can describe the responsibilities and areas of activity of key copyright, advocacy, and professional organisations
• is able to differentiate between various forms of business and entrepreneurship, and their suitability for their own activities
• is able to describe the features of a good grant application
• is able to plan and document the production content and stages of a complete music project
• works in a goal-oriented manner according to given assignments and schedules
• presents and argues for their own output to the group as agreed and can receive feedback and reflect on their own work.
