Elective Music Project 3Laajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

The student gains ensemble- and/or singing experience as well as experience in professional rehearsing methods with performing and recording practices according to their orientation in various working modes.
The student can take responsibility as members of a group, can prepare independently their scores/ material, as well as find and practice repertoire for various performances.

The student manages assignments connected to the rehearsing process such as working methods of transcription, notations, and practicing the musical parts. They practice interpretation of various styles, improvisation, as well as application of theoretical knowledge in practice. The student is able to work professionally and creatively within each musical style. They are ready for strong musical interpretation and production of musical experiences in concerts and recordings.

The student has experience of public performances, of the preparation process as well as of the related responsibilities and general practices. Through the work practice they deepen their knowledge of the musician´s vocational image and professional ethics. Moreover, they are able to merge in the national and international networks.
