Objective

The student
• deepens their knowledge of visual user interface design and understands the key principles of visual usability and accessibility
• masters the design of the visual appearance of digital services, knows how to design and apply visual user interface solutions for different devices and understands the principles of responsive design
• knows the basic principles of design systems to create a coherent and usable user interface.

• Key principles of visual usability and accessibility
• Visual identity and consistency in digital services
• User interface design for different devices and responsiveness
• Basics of design systems in user interface design

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student
• participates in course activities at a satisfactory level
• recognises the basic principles of visual usability and accessibility and can create simple user interface solutions for different devices
• is capable of designing a visual identity for a digital service and understands the importance of responsive design
• demonstrates a satisfactory understanding of the basic principles of design systems.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student
• actively participates in course activities
• demonstrates a solid understanding of the key principles of visual usability and accessibility and can apply them in designing functional user interfaces for different devices
• is capable of designing a coherent visual identity for digital services and understands the requirements of responsive design across devices
• demonstrates a solid understanding of the basic principles of design systems.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student
• demonstrates exceptional engagement in course activities
• exhibits a comprehensive mastery of visual usability and accessibility principles and can design user interfaces that adapt exceptionally well to various devices, utilising responsive design effectively
• creates cohesive, aesthetically high-quality, and user-friendly interfaces for digital services
• demonstrates an excellent understanding of the basic principles of design systems.
