Objective

The student
• gains an overview of the work and professional environment of a textile designer
• understands the stages of the design process and the importance of documentation and presentation as a tool for professional development
• knows the structure of the curriculum and how to plan their own studies
• is able to use IT systems and software necessary for their studies
• is familiar with safe and sustainable practices and is able to apply them in their work
• is able, after completing the basic information security course, to handle information appropriately, identify the most common information security threats and be prepared to meet workplace requirements related to information security skills
• understands, after completing the basic course in artificial intelligence, the principles of large language models and their advantages and disadvantages
• is able to use AI responsibly and ethically in learning, taking responsibility for the content of their own work and following good scientific practice.

• Stages in the design and product development process
• Methods of information gathering, brainstorming and evaluation
• Visual, written and oral presentation
• Curricula and study planning
• Learning practices, physical and electronic learning environment
