Objective

The student
• acquires a basic understanding of visual user interface design principles, including key concepts of composition, colour usage, and typography in digital services
• becomes familiar with principles related to perception and learns to use them in visual user interface design
• gains basic skills in visual design software and learns to apply them in creating visual solutions for user interfaces.

• Principles of perception in user interface design
• Basic use of visual design software
• Typography in digital services

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student
• participates in course activities at a satisfactory level
• demonstrates a basic understanding of visual user interface design principles and can apply some basic principles of composition, colour usage, and typography
• understands basic principles of perception and can apply them in visual user interface design to a limited extent
• is familiar with the basics of visual design software and can use it to create simple visual solutions.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student
• actively participate in course activities
• demonstrates proficiency in the fundamentals of visual user interface design and can consistently and purposefully apply principles of composition, colour usage, and typography
• understands the principles of perception and can use them as part of visual user interface design
• demonstrates a solid command of basic visual design software usage and can create clear and functional visual solutions.

The student
• demonstrates exceptional engagement in course activities
• has a comprehensive understanding of visual user interface design principles and can apply principles of composition, colour usage, and typography in diverse and advanced ways
• understands and uses the principles related to perception to enhance user experience
• skillfully uses visual design software to create high-quality and user-friendly visual solutions for digital services.
