Objective

The student
• becomes familiar with the key phases of digitalisation and understands the historical development of computer networks and the internet as fundamental components of the current digital environment
• gains insight into the history of computers and software, understanding how various innovations have influenced societal and technological development
• evaluates the trajectory of digitalisation and recognises how digital transformation has reshaped and continues to reshape everyday life, work, and communication.

The student

• recognises key events in the history of digitalisation and understands their basic significance
• is familiar with the general development of computer networks, computers, and software.
