Objective

Students will understand the basics of rigging characters and other elements for animation in a 2D environment. They will be able to create animation systems using programming for different purposes and produce animation using them. The student will be able to produce parametric animation elements for efficient production.

Content

- the preparation of graphic elements for efficient animation production.
- learning about plug-ins and implementation methods for animation software
- programming animation systems

Prerequisites

Basics of Motion Graphics

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Students will be able to prepare graphic elements for animation by creating advanced action logics, and produce animation using them.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student will be able to prepare graphic elements for animation by creating complex action logics for the animator. They will be able to produce animation using the prepared elements, and understand their potential to enhance motion graphics and animation productions.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students will be able to prepare high quality graphic elements for animation by creating complex action logics, and make them easy to use and appropriate for animation. They will be able to produce high quality animation using the elements produced, and to exploit the potential of programming to enhance motion graphics and animation productions.
