Objective
The student
• knows how the camera works and can choose the appropriate camera settings for different situations
• knows how to operate a camera in manual mode and manipulate the exposure, when necessary
• is able to shoot in raw format and edit the photographs
• is able to evaluate their photographs and, if needed, can perform colour or tone correction on them
• is able to optimise photographs for a variety of environments.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student
• knows the operation of a digital camera and is able to choose suitable camera settings according to the conditions
• controls the camera manually and is able to manipulate the exposure
• masters raw format imaging and understands the benefits of a 16/24 bit image file
• is able to evaluate their pictures and to post-process them if necessary, e.g. colour and tone corrections; can optimise the image for web and print.

• masters the camera well manually and is able to manipulate the exposure
• masters raw format imaging and understands the benefits of a 16/24 bit image file
