Objective

The student
• becomes familiar with the production processes used by the textile printing industry
• is proficient in continuous surface design, industrial printing fabric reports, and collections and colour series
• understands the opportunities and limitations of commercial and industrial printed fabric design as well as target group thinking
• applies the skills they have learned to design commercial print fabrics, taking into account the technical and economic realities of production and the principles of sustainable development
• is able to price their designed product and prepare technical instructions for digital textile printing
• masters the professional presentation of their plans according to industry practice.

The student
• is familiar with the colour and printing methods of the textile industry and the technical basics of digital textile printing
• masters the design of a commercial and target group-based printed fabric collection
• knows the impact of the technical and economic realities of production on the design and production process and knows the principles of sustainable development
• masters the pricing of printed fabric models and technical instructions for digital textile printing
• satisfactorily masters the professional presentation.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student
• masters the colour and printing methods of the textile industry as well as the technical basics of digital textile printing
• is well versed in the design of a commercial and target group-based printed fabric collection
• is well aware of the impact of the technical and economic realities of production on the design and production process and is well acquainted with the principles of sustainable development
• is well versed in the pricing of printed fabric models as well as technical guidelines for digital textile printing
• masters the professional presentation well.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student
• is well versed in the colour and printing methods of the textile industry as well as the technical basics of digital textile printing
• has an excellent command of the design of a commercial and target group-based printed fabric collection
• knows very well the impact of the technical and economic realities of production on the design and production process and has an in-depth understanding of the principles of sustainable development
• has an excellent command of the pricing of printed fabric models and technical instructions for digital textile printing
• masters a high-quality professional presentation and is able to reflect in a variety of ways.
