Objective

Students are familiar with the possibilities and constraints of different XR technologies ecosystems and the design requirements for the visual components used in them.

Content

The course introduces various XR technologies and environments such as VR, AR, MR and CR. A small XR application is designed and implemented during the course.

- XR application design process and idea
- XR capability and support for game engines
- Design of the graphical elements and preparation for the production environment
- XR technologies, VR / AR / MR
- Implementing the XR application

Prerequisites

Knowledge of pixel and vector graphics.

Basic knowledge of 3D graphics and animation. Recommended Game Engines 5 cr

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to implement an XR application using a game engine and industry software. The student is familiar with the possibilities and limitations of XR technologies and different ecosystems.

The student is able to implement an XR application using a game engine and industry software. One is familiar with the possibilities and limitations of XR technologies and different ecosystems and is familiar with the future prospects of the field. The student is able to adapt learning outcomes in project work.
