Objective

The student
• knows some drawing and painting tools and is able to use them
• is familiar with the most common drawing, painting and composition techniques and can express themselves using different materials and techniques
• is able to set goals for visual expression and assess whether goals have been achieved
• is able to analyse the shape, colour and composition of an image.

Content

• Application of knowledge, observation and visual skills using different drawing tools
• Use of line as a means of expression
• Practising perception and expression through the use of different painting techniques
• Colour theory and composition as part of the structure of a picture
• Image analysis

The student
• is able to satisfactorily create and express their own images visually by means of drawing, painting and composition
• is able to analyse the shape, colour and composition of an image
• understands continuous image making as part of observation, research, and thinking, and as part of the professional planning process.

• is able to analyse the shape, colour and composition of an image

• is able to analyse the shape, colour and composition of an image
• has an excellent understanding of continuous image making as part of observation, research, and thinking, and as part of the professional design process.
