The student
• has broad knowledge of service design and further expands their understanding of an area of their choice
• is familiar with service design literature and discussion in the field
• becomes familiar with the holistic design of a service
• is able to apply research to design work.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student
• is familiar with the areas of service design and has studied a few of them
• has an understanding of the service experience
• has some knowledge of service design literature and other ongoing discussions
• has an understanding of holistic design and experience in service design and related research-based activities in practice.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student
• knows the areas of service design and understands the chosen areas well
• has a good understanding of the service experience
• knows service design literature and other discussions
• has extensive experience in holistic design and the service design process in practice
• has good knowledge of the possibilities of research related to service design.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student
• understands the areas of service design and knows the areas of their choice well
• has a deep understanding of the service experience
• knows service design literature and other discussions in the field and can reflect critically on them
• is proficient in the holistic design and service design process and can apply these creatively in practice
• has extensive and practical knowledge of the possibilities of research related to service design.
