Objective

Upon completing the course, the student will be able to work collaboratively with event technology professionals (lighting, sound, and AV). They will be familiar with industry-specific terminology and able to consider safety factors related to event technology.

Successful completion of the course Introduction to Event Management (3 cr) or equivalent competence.

The student recognizes the different areas of event technology. They are familiar with industry-specific terminology. The student understands the importance of safety factors in event technology within event production.

The student can collaborate with event technology professionals. They understand industry-specific terminology and the requirements of technical solutions in event technology. The student can apply knowledge of safety factors in the technical aspects of event production.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can collaborate effectively with event technology professionals, using industry-specific terminology fluently. They understand the requirements of technical solutions in event technology. The student is able to analyze and plan technical solutions for events from a safety perspective.
