Technique and Expression 5: DocumentaryLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

Students know the technical implementation and working roles in documentary and non-scripted production processes. Students can design audiovisual documentary content. Students know the different modes of expression, conventions and modes of documentary narration. They are able to assess the equipment needs of documentary production and to plan its technical implementation. The student is able to make expressive choices appropriate to the production and to apply different, safe production methods.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student participates satisfactorily in class. The student has a satisfactory knowledge of the technical implementation of documentary and non-scripted production and knows the working roles. The student is able to design audiovisual documentary content and to identify modes of expression, conventions and modes of documentary narration.

The student participates well in class. The student has a good knowledge of the technical realisation and working roles of documentary and non-scripted production.The student has a good knowledge of the design of audiovisual documentary content and of the modes of expression, conventions and modes of documentary narration.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student participates in the classroom with a high level of competence. The student has an excellent command of the technical realisation of documentary and non-scripted production and has a good command of working roles. The student has an excellent ability to design audiovisual documentary content and to apply the modes of expression, conventions and modes of documentary narration.
