Student
- know how to use effective and client-/family-oriented work methods for health promotion
- are able to plan, implement and evaluate health promotion interventions of individuals, families and groups in collaboration with clients
- can use and apply early intervention methods
- can implement health communication
- can implement the multiprofessional/multi-actor health promotion of individuals, families, groups and communities as experts of public health nursing
- know how to use follow up tools and methods of health promotive work
- are able to anticipate problems and challenges related to health and wellbeing
- understand the possibilities of welfare analytics for health promotion
- can plan, administer, evaluate vaccinations of different-aged clients

- work methods of health promotion for individuals, families, groups and communities
- bringing up health promotion
- health discussion
- resource-oriented approach to work, client inclusion, supporting client’s resources
- supporting health changes – the change process
- early intervention as a work method and its background, objectives, significance and implementation
- health communication
- planning of health promotion
- follow up and evaluation of health promotive work; follow up methods
- welfare analytics
- deepening vaccination competence and developing practical skills in vaccinating

Qualifications

Students may choose the unit of work methods of health promotion after completing the study unit of health promotion.
