Objective

Students
- are able to apply the theoretical and clinical competence required by the clinical practice environment to their work
- can follow the ethical guidelines and principles of nursing
- know how to implement public health nursing promoting the health and wellbeing of the mother, the newborn baby and the entire family after childbirth
- can adopt a client-centered approach to counselling families with a baby to promote their health and wellbeing
- work as members of multi-actor work groups responsibly and collaboratively
- are competent in working life skills
- are able to evaluate their competence and develop it further

- clinical practice in a maternity unit of families with a newborn baby
