Objective
The student
• knows the most common lever mechanisms, is able to draw a kinematic diagram and calculate mobility
• is able to calculate the positions, speeds and accelerations of the levers of a plane mechanism, as well as the supporting forces
• is able to design a plane mechanism that makes the desired trajectory
• understands the principles of balancing and the design principles of a cam mechanism
• is able to use CAD software to simulate mechanisms.

The student can draw a kinematic diagram of a plane mechanism and calculate the mobility. The student is able to calculate the kinematic quantities and dynamic supporting forces of mechanisms.
