Building Measurement and ModellingLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

After completing the course, the student:
• knows how to use building measurement data and process point cloud data
• is able to manage the correction of an existing building information model based on point cloud data and other initial information.

Content

During the course handling and modification of building measurement and point cloud data are practiced using different programmes. Creation of a BIM model or fixing of an existing BIM model using point cloud material and other initial data is covered as well.

Basics of BIM

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student understands the principles and purpose of building measurement.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to independently use building measurement data and process point cloud data.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to independently use building measurement data and process point cloud data. The student is able to correct an existing building information model on the basis of point cloud data and other input data.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student understands the principles and purpose of building measurement.
