Objective
The student
• is able to solve problems in the field of construction engineering by using their knowledge of the regularities and phenomena of chemistry
• is familiar with the chemical properties of main building materials and the effects of chemical stress on the most common building materials
• is able to compare the suitability of different materials for their intended use
• knows products and how they are used, installed and maintained
• knows the physical and chemical quality of different materials
• knows how to combine different materials
• is able to compare material qualities and evaluate suitability of the materials for different uses
• is able to search for, process and share information with others.

The student is familiar with the concepts and phenomena related to the topics of the course and is able to apply their knowledge independently. The student is able to solve applied problems related to the topics of the course.
