The student
• gains the basic know-how for research and development work and is familiar with the methods and models of development work
• understands the basic concepts of quantitative and qualitative research
• is familiar with the research process and the principles of data analysis and interpretation and is able to communicate professionally in various research and development functions
• is familiar with research reporting practices and able to apply them in research and development work.
