Objective

The student understands how to craft the user interface (UI) and interaction design of XR applications and other digital platforms and ensure they are accessible and user-friendly. The student learns the workflow and principles in creating user experience (UX) for XR applications as well as the importance of usability in application development.

Content

- User experience principles: Exploring user experience principles through literature
- User Interface Design workflow: The student studies XR User Interface Design’s workflow through lectures, tutorials, and workshops
- User Research: Learning user research tools such as information architecture and wireframes. Creating user personas and customer journey maps.
- Interface Integration: Implementing the user research findings through UI design. Importing interface elements into a real-time development platform.

Qualifications

The student must have completed the courses "Graphic Design" and "Real-time Development Platforms 1 ".

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student understands the importance of usability in application development. The student knows the principles of user experience and is able to apply them to the XR environment. They have completed the course assignments.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student understands the importance of usability in application development. The student knows the principles of user experience and is able to apply them well to the XR environment. They have completed the tasks of the course well and have been able to apply the lessons learned.

The student understands the importance of usability in application development. The student knows the principles of user experience and is able to apply them to the XR environment in a commendable way. They have completed the tasks of the course, while applying what they have learned with particular merit.
