Code: TX00FM36

Credits

10 op

Objective

This course will teach you how to produce and purify recombinant proteins using various expression systems and techniques. You will learn about the advantages and disadvantages of different vectors and host cells, such as bacteria, yeast, mold, insect cells and mammalian cells. You will also learn about the methods and challenges of expression, fermentation, downstream processing, protein characterization and quality control. You will gain practical skills in cell culture and immunological techniques. Finally, you will apply your knowledge to a recombinant protein production and purification project. This course will prepare you for a career in biotechnology, where you can create innovative products and solutions using recombinant proteins.
