Objective

Student
- is able to document the patient's treatment in the patient information system
- is able to plan, implement and assess individually the early treatment of tooth decay and gum diseases together with the child and their family
- guides the child and their family in oral hygiene literacy
- is able to determine the state of a child's oral health, taking into account the effect of different cultures on oral and dental health
- identifies malocclusions and knows how to treat them
- takes part in a child's oral health check and corrective treatment procedures in multidisciplinary teams
- understands the role of an oral hygienist as a member of an orthodontic treatment team attending to a developing occlusion
